Chargebacks & Disputes FAQ

What is PCI-DSS?

The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is an accepted system of policies and standards used by merchants, point-of-sale vendors, financial institutions and developers involved with payment processing infrastructure. The goal of the PCI DSS is to create, help implement and enforce industry standards to protect cardholder data. The PCI DSS Council was co-founded by JCB International, MasterCard, American Express, Discover and Visa Inc. in 2006, and all entities continue to govern and execute the work of the Council.*
